The Republican, a Massachusetts newspaper, says that a fifth-grade teacher rescued a Spaniel from a pond in Springfield, MA. Virna L. Campbell-Langford, the teacher, climbed out onto a fallen tree and grabbed the dog from the water, says the publication.
In Canada, another dog lover recently came to the rescue of those in need. Cnews, an online newspaper, says that a dog walker in Toronto saved several people from a burning house. Traci Healy ushered a woman and her two cats out of the ground floor of the house and then alerted a couple on the second floor, says Cnews.
